My Dad died of cancer last year at the age of 57. He had EVERY risk factor for the type of aggressive cancer he had. I keep reading to make better choices for myself, to be here for my 4 girls, but also to try to change how they live in the future. I haven't read the book you're reading, but I am reading the Omnivore's dilemma, and it falls along the same lines. I think we need to need food that is "whole" and "real" as much as possible. I wonder though if I am still able to achieve this with food that I don't grow, but the reality is, I am not a farmer.
